HOW TO KEEP MAINTAIN YOUR BABY LOCK MACHINE AND KEEP THE LOOPER TUBES CLEAR OF LINT AND RUNNING SMOOTHLY

Read our guide and watch Jane's FLOSS YOUR TUBES YouTube video about how to clean and maintain your baby lock machine to keep it running smoothly for years to come.

Brush out the body of the machine after every use. I also use a small hoover tool attachment set to get in all the nooks and crannies.

Clean the case of the machine with a microfibre cloth.

Don’t be tempted to blow into the machine! This will result in a build-up of lint inside the machine affecting the mechanics.

Get into the habit of FLOSSING your looper tubes when you change the threads. Use a high twist 100% polyester thread like Guterman’s general purpose thread. Shoot a length through the closed tube and ‘floss’ it from side to side. Pull the thread out to the left.

The static on the thread will pick up and lint in the tubes and keep them running smoothly.

I’ve done a quick YouTube video of how to FLOSS YOUR TUBES.

Thank you for reading.
